The dress designing process is a rewarding and challenging one. Every client has specific needs and desires, which we work very hard to satisfy. A custom gown is for a client that is looking for something a department store cannot provide: A completely unique creation only for you. Themis and Thread's designer creates textural frocks as varied as our customers. Working closely together to develop your dream dress is a truely remarkable experience. Let your style and personality shine through your gown. Designer guide Jesse Junko Beardslee interprets your personal style, gown concepts, and event with you for a truely one of a kind creation.
100% of the process is done in Themis and Thread's vertically integrated studio. Designing, sourcing, consulting, draping, pattern drafting, mock up making, fittings, sample making, and the final garment construction is all done in house. The original designs and final pattern can be purchased at an additional cost.
Listing price is a refundable down payment, not a final cost or a contract. Generally a custom gown costs around $500 - but can be more or less depending on design. Due to the variable nature of every individual creation, cost does vary. It may seem like an incredibly long time, but a year before the event is the most ideal time frame for timely creation. Although there is not a guarantee, a custom gown can be designed, fit, and created in 3 months.
Currently the next available custom gown design opening is for a Fall 2017 event.
